Long private driveways off Cleveland-Massillon and Ghent Road are where a lot of our winch work happens. A car that's slid off an unlit estate drive in February isn't a hook-and-go job. It's a positioning problem — trees close on both sides, a grade under the truck, nowhere flat to set up.
Yellow Creek Road and Riverview are a different animal. Blind curves, no shoulder, deer at dusk. Cars end up down the bank or in the brush past the guardrail, so it's cable and a flatbed, not a quick tow. Nearer the Ghent seam by Montrose it flips to lockouts and dead batteries.

Often, though we may choose not to. If traction looks bad we'll set up on the flat and winch the car down to us rather than slide a loaded truck into a garage door.
